South Carolina Housing Offering Free Housing Grants

South Carolina Housing Trust Fund
The South Carolina Housing Trust Fund will be providing free housing rehabilitative grants for Anderson residents. This is being provided by the Community Redevelopment Foundation, Fresh Start Community Development Corporation and New Prospect Housing Development Corporation, in partnership with the South Carolina Housing Finance Development Authority.

The primary focus of The South Carolina Housing Trust Fund is to provide financial support for the development and preservation of safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing for low-income households in South Carolina.
Those who qualify as low-income and very-low income households must have income limited at or below 80 percent of the area median income. The financial assistance provided through The South Carolina Housing Trust Fund enables low-income and very-low income families to purchase and rehabilitate homes.

Rehabilitation includes emergency repairs. Qualifying homes include owner-occupied units with emergency repairs defined as those necessary in order to eliminate clear and present danger and make the home safe.
